About HomeMaterialBase

Last updated: July 19, 2026

HomeMaterialBase is a small set of free browser calculators for Saturday DIY material runs — concrete yards and bags, gravel and mulch volumes, paint gallons, and roof pitch. The point is a shopping list you can take to the yard or the paint desk, not a stamped takeoff and not a contractor bid.

Math runs in your browser (a Worker when the page can use one). No account. No email gate. Close the tab and the dimensions leave with it.

Who it's for

Homeowners and DIY folks who already measured a pad, a bed, or a room and need store units: cubic yards, 40 / 60 / 80 lb bags, 2 cu ft mulch bags, paint gallons after openings, rise/run pitch before arguing with a shingle estimate. If you keep a tape measure in the truck and a sticky note in your pocket, this desk is for you.

If you need a licensed bid, bonded proposal, mix design, rebar schedule, or structural stamp, this is the wrong tool — and every result ticket says so.

Buy materials, don't price the job

Plenty of sites help contractors stack markup, labor burden, and overhead into a quote. That is useful work — it is just not this work. HomeMaterialBase answers “how many bags / yards / gallons should I put in the cart?” Waste is a slider you control. Bag yields and paint coverage are editable defaults, because the label on the bag or can beats any website.

We are not a contractor quoting tool. We do not invent labor hours, PSI specs, or change-order dollars. If a contractor already bid the job, use their takeoff.
